Introduction

LCBMIT is the independent educational body of Stockwell Green Community Services (SGCS), a registered charity. Our mission is to alleviate poverty through making people employable. We are therefore committed to widening participation and supporting students from all backgrounds but in particular those that are disadvantaged, nationally and internationally.

With nearly 2,000 students, we offer courses at A-level equivalent and above, undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Business, IT, Tourism, Accountancy, Finance, Health Care, and English Language. We have 2 main campuses, located in Balham, South London, and the recently launched North Cheam campus in Sutton (Greater London). The College will continue to invest resources in providing better facilities to enhance your campus and student experience.

LCBMIT’s courses are practice-based, vocational and professional in nature, and are designed to enhance students’ employability and social responsibility. We are continuously improving and our quality assurance procedures should provide confidence to our students and other stakeholders.

Our support staff are highly trained to deal with your queries and meet your needs. We take pride in our teaching staff who are research active, with lecturers from London School of Economics (LSE), Goldsmiths, Harvard, University of Washington, and beyond. Our Advisory Board is made up of members that have a wealth of experience, and meets regularly to ensure that we are meeting our academic standards, especially through the role of the sub-committee for Academic Standards.

You can develop the skills of our students, such as the Talent Management and Student Ambassadors Schemes. Through our Alumni Scheme, our support to you continues once you graduate, and you can benefit from free library access and invitation to events.
