Course Structure
FUNDAMENTALS LEVEL (9 papers in total):
Knowledge modules (all 3 papers):
• Accountant in Business (F1)
• Management Accounting (F2)
• Financial Accounting (F3)
Skills modules (all 6 papers):
• Corporate and Business Law (f4)
• Performance Management (f5)
• Taxation (F6)
• Financial Reporting (UK or International) (F7)
• Audit & Assurance (UK or International) (F8)
• Financial Management (F9)
Note: to become an ACCA-qualified accountant you must also pass the Practical Experience Requirements (PER), which involves achieving performance objectives in the work place. Ask the admissions team for more information.
Entry Requirements:
• Two A Levels and three GCSEs or equivalent in five separate subjects, including English and Mathematics.
• Holders of CAT qualification will be transferred to the skills module of the ACCA qualification and given exemptions from the first three papers in the knowledge module.
Assessment:
Combination of multiple choice and written exams.
Progression:
We expect most ACCA professionals to pursue the following on completion of the ACCA course:
• Apply for a Job – in Accounting Firms, Finance and Banking, Public and Private Sector.
• Further Study – ACCA is an acceptable Entry qualification for many higher education programmes for those intending to further their education.
