Learning and Resource Centre

IT Facilities

Our IT suites are equipped with state-of-the-art Pentium PC's with strong and secure networking. We aim at consistent investment and refurbishment to provide the best and latest IT supports and services to the students. In the College, we deliver core and discretionary services, systems and support which underpin the college's teaching, research and administrative needs. Additionally, the department provides the focus for the development of IT and IS strategy and policy.

We have recently installed a new integrated student management system which will enable students to have access to online area of the college website with latest lecture materials, videos, and other material to assist their learning. Short online quizzes can also be issued and marked to students.

Besides the basic amenities, our classrooms are equipped with multimedia projectors, and are well-lit and comfortable, providing students with an environment conducive to study.

The IT Lab is used not just as part of lectures but is available for general use for students to conduct research or prepare assignments.

Library

Students’ knowledge bank can be widened by reading selective and updated books in our well-equipped library that has recommended readings as well as essential readings, with mostly 2010 editions. The Library at LCBMIT supports the teaching, research and learning needs of the College community by delivering flexible access to an extensive range of resources including: study spaces and printing and copying facilities

Our trained staffs are always willing to assist students finding information and making the best use of the resources. There is also the local public library which is within walking distance from the college.

LCBMIT will gain online membership with Athens to ensure that our students have access to a broad range of journals and reference material. Students currently use a combination of free journals and those provided by lecturers through resources such as Knowledge@wharton.
