Level 4 Diploma in Human Resource Management

The effective management of an organisation’s human resources is now recognised as a critical component in the success of public and private enterprises. This course will show you that irrespective of size, the presence of well-trained and highly motivated staff will enable organisations to meet the fresh challenges that come from the rapidly changing business environment.

Course Structure:

Four Compulsory Units:
•       Introduction to Business
•       Introduction to Business Communication
•       Managing People
•       Personnel Administration

Entry Requirements

Prospective students must have one of the following:

•       Open access. Candidates of all educational backgrounds are welcome.
•       However, it is in the interest of candidates that they have attained Level 2 qualifications (GCSE standard) in Mathematics and English Language, or can demonstrate competence through obtaining an alternative qualification of similar standard.
•       International students should submit a valid qualification in order to meet regulatory requirements.

No formal qualifications are required but applicants should demonstrate competence in English by the attainment of qualification such as those included below:

•       LCCI - English for Business (EFB) 1st or 2nd level
•       Pitman/City and Guilds - English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) /
English for Business and Communication
•       International: IELTS 4.5 band in each component; or other UKBA approved test

Assessment

3 hour Final Examination will be with the awarding body ABE, at one of their examination centres.
You will receive a series of tutorials/tests/case studies in class.

Progression

Students have the choice to use this Diploma to do the following:
•       Apply for a Job – where a level 4 qualification is sufficient
•       Progress to the Higher Diploma level – which is equivalent to the first year of a degree programme. This will allow you to gain further knowledge and develop more skills demanded by employers and universities.
