Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic (CEFR B1- B2)

This course is aimed at international students, but is also relevant to those wishing to learn English as a second or foreign language.

For international students the UK Border Agency made the IELTS test compulsory, or any other UKBA approved ‘secured English language test’, for all students seeking to study in the UK. For students that wish to join a main academic programme and extend their studies at LCBMI, an IELTS score must be obtained according to the level of the main programme being applied for.

Pearson were one of a few test providers in the world that had the PTE Academic recognised as a Secure English Language Tests by the UK Border Agency in August 2010. LCBMIT has selected Pearson as its partner as it believes that the test, which is available in over 159 countries, is more reliable and truly tests the competency of the students in academic English. LCBMIT was also pleased to learn that Pearson’s test has some of the best security and technology in their test centres.
