Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management

The postgraduate diploma in Business Management provides a fast track progression to a Master’s degree such as MBA or MSC by seeking exemptions from the taught stage of such programmes. The programme is equivalent to level 7 on the national qualification framework and QCF accredited.

This programme emphasises on academic learning as well as employer knowledge and practice. It provides a fast track progression route for those who:

  • are currently studying professional qualifications and wish to proceed to a Master’s degree in business/management

  • have a related degree but wish to proceed to a Master’s level business/management qualification

  • are in employment, at managerial level, and wish to achieve a Master’s level qualification

UNIQUE NATURE OF THE PROGRAMME

This postgraduate level programme is unique in that it integrates the academic knowledge available within the specialised areas of Business Management, and applies this knowledge to a specific and important business group in today’s Business. The courses will focus on different types of companies as for instance high-tech ventures, start-ups and family businesses.

Furthermore, the college is currently exploring further avenues for students enrolled onto this programme so that they can be offered the opportunity to translate the knowledge developed to a practical business situation. During this fast track 9 months academic program, groups of students can opt for setting up and managing their own student projects relating to setting up businesses, or they can be linked to a small or medium-sized business or where suitable with the management team of a large corporate to gain industrial experience wherever possible.
