Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care Sector

Particularly in the last thirty years, we have seen that management and economics are essential disciplines in the training and development of Health Sector professionals.

This includes research and development, organisational aspects of health service, measurements of quality, cost/efficiency analysis.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care Sector (PgDip LMHSC) leading to MBA responds to continued development of Health Sector managers and to Health Sector organisations. Concepts and methods grounded firmly in practice will be the base of the curriculum. 

The course is pertinent for professionals from the Health Sector in its wider context, to include: 

Public and private Health Sector management and practitioners (business managers, consultants, doctors, nurses/advanced nurse practitioners/nurse consultants, health professionals representing all hospital disciplines and care in the community)

Entry requirements

  1. Normally, a second class honours degree in any subject (International students holding a qualification recognised as equivalent by the University)

  2. Candidates may be admitted without a first degree, provided they have at least two years of relevant manage
